Chocolate Mousse with Walnut Praline



This dessert looks very classy but unbelievably easy to put together. It was loved so much by all at my home, yet everything is just so easy to assembled. The crispy sweet walnut praline was the perfect match for the goey and decadent mousse.

RECIPE

Serves 3

Prep time: 10 minutes 

Cook time: 3 hours including setting time

Tools needed: Electric Beater, frying pan, rolling pin, parchment paper, piping bag and star nozzle.


INGREDIENTS 

FOR CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Chocolate ganache 1 cup
Chilled whipping cream 1/2 cup
Walnut Praline for garnish

FOR WALNUT PRALINE
Walnuts 1 cup
Brown sugar 3/4 cup
Butter 2 tsp

FOR DARK CHOCOLATE GANACHE
Fresh cream 50 grams
Dark chocolate 150 grams


METHOD

1. Heat cream in a Bain Marie. Add chopped dark chocolate and dip them in warm cream.


2. Mix well after few minutes to make it lump-free and smooth. Ganache is ready. Just let the mixture cool completely before using. Refrigerate if using later or the next day.


3. Roast walnuts for few minutes.
Remove on a board and chop them coarsely.



4. Heat brown sugar. Leave it unmixed until it melts.

5. Once melted fully add butter and mix.



6. Add chopped walnuts and mix well. Grease the counter with some butter and keep ready.

7. Pour this onto the greased counter. With a greased rolling pin, flatten it evenly and as thin as possible. Do quickly before the Praline starts to set.

8. Take whipping cream and ganache in a large bowl and beat well until you get stiff peaks.


9. Put in piping with Desired nozzle.

10. Pipe into your favorite glass or cup.

11. Garnish with Walnut Praline. Chill in the refrigerator and serve.
