Movie Theatre Popcorns in 4 Yummy Flavours; We all love Popcorns specially while watching movies and kids can gobble buckets full of these. But the stuff that we buy from stands at the movie theatre is packed full of nasty chemicals, artificial colors and flavours, and more hydrogenated oils and salt than anyone should be consuming in a snack. Movie Theatre Popcorns in 4 flavours are a healthy snack when made at home. It is easy on pocket. Enjoyed by all. They also make an awesome party snack not only for kids but for all. So just skip on those stand popcorns and relish these homemade crunchies ready in no time.
Ingredients for Movie Theatre Popcorns In 4 Yummy Flavours
1 + 1/4 cup corn kernnels
Salt according to taste
Butter 3-4 tbsp
Oil 3-4 tbspn
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Condensed milk 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Chaat masala 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 2 pinch
1/4 cup parmesan/ cheddar cheese finely grated
Oven safe large bowl with lid
How to cook Movie Theatre Popcorns In 4 Yummy Flavours
For butter Popcorn add 1 tbsp oil and 2 tbspn butter in the oven safe bowl. Also add some salt and popcorn kernnels. According to my pan I added a little less than 1/3cup. MW for 2 min.
Stay close to microwave. Over cooking may burn the corns. Cooking time depends on the power of the oven. Mine is 750 watts. U can stop and check in between and shake the pan. Your first flavoured movie theatre popcorn is ready
For masala popcorn; add 2 tbspn oil in the bowl chilli powder + salt + chaat masala powder+ corn kernnels + pinch of turmeric powder. Bake for 2 minutes shake the bowl in between and keep a check. Your second flavoured popcorn is ready
For cheese popcorn and Caramel popcorn you will need to prepare plain Popcorns first. So I made 2 batches of those. No fat just added popcorn kernnels to the bowl and microwaved for 2 minutes (made one batch for cheese and other for Caramel flavour)
For cheese popcorn heat 2 tbspn oil in a large Kadai over stove top then add 1/2 salt, pinch of turmeric & 1 batch of popcorns. Add parmesan or cheddar cheese over the popcorn and stir as fast as possible
For the yummiest Carmel Popcorns; In a Kadai add brown sugar and heat. Do not stir till the sugar starts to melt. When the sugar melts completely add butter 2 tbspn. When butter melts add 1 tsp vanilla essence and condensed milk. Keep cooking for sometime around 1 minute (Stirring continuously) Then add the plain Popcorns and mix very fast. It will be soft when hot. But will become crunchy once it cools down.
