Dried Figs and roasted peanuts cake

Whole wheat flour 3/4cup
Tapioca flour 1/2 cup
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Baking soda ½ tsp + one pinch
Brown sugar 2-3 tablespoons
Salt a pinch
Butter 50 grams, cold
Dried figs 3/4 cup, chopped finely
Peanuts 1/4 cup
Boiling water 1/2 cup
Ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp
Dry ginger powder one pinch 

Preheat oven @180 degrees C
Soak fine chopped figs on hot water with a pinch of baking soda and salt.
Roast peanuts in oven or on gas stove
In a mixing bowl add flours, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, ginger and cinnamon powder and whisk well.
Add cold butter to the flour mixture and mix with the tip of fingers, the mixture should look crumbly.
Add the figs with the water and the peanuts and mix.
If the batter is too thick add some more water and mix.
Bake in a 6 inch round pan for 25 minutes or till skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
