Nowadays momos are becoming a very popular street-food, but they can be made at home with whatever vegetable available at your home.

RECIPEServes: 20 momos
Prep time: 1 hour
Cook time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS
For Momos
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup refined flour + extra for dusting
For stuffing
2 tablespoon chopped carrots
2 tablespoon chopped capsicum
1/2 cup Paneer grated
4 tablespoon shredded cabbage
2 teaspoon Oil for frying vegetables

1/2 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon chilli sauce
1 teaspoon ginger paste
to taste Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon green chilli paste
1 small onion chopped
METHOD
In a bowl take maida, salt, oil and knead a dough using room temperature water. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
Slice, grate and chop vegetables and paneer.
Heat a pan and add oil, add onions and saute till slightly red. Add green chilli, ginger and garlic paste and saute.
Add carrots and beans and cook on high flame. Then add other vegetables and saute.
When the vegetables look little soft, but still a little crunchy, add chilli sauce, soya sauce, Blackpepper powder and salt to it and mix well.
Finally add grated paneer and mix well. Momo stuffing is ready. Cool this mixture completely.
Divide the dough in equal portions. Roll small puri's out of the dough using maida for dusting. Keep the puri's thick from the centre.
Take the puri in your hand place a teaspoon of stuffing in the centre and shape them into dumplings.
Likewise prepare all the dumplings in desired shape and keep them covered over a dry dusted plate.
These can be steamed in a cooker or in a microwave. I am using idli stand for this. I greased the idli plates with some oil and placed the momos in it.
Cook on high flame for 5 minutes and on medium flame for 10 minutes.
Momos are ready, serve with momo or schezwan sauce.
