To skip the cumbersome procedure of preparing traditonal Idlis, instant idli’s are prepared. One such idli variation is bread idli recipe. INGREDIENTS
Bread slices small 6
Rava 1 cup
Thick Curd 2 cups
Water as needed
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tbsp
Eno fruit salt 1 tsp
Small piece of lemon
METHOD
Crumble the bread in mixer jar.
Add rava and pulse it again so bread and rava is evenly mixed.
Put bread crumbs and rava in a bowl. Add curd and mix well. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile prepare the steamer. Add 2 cups water in the steamer and put lemon slice in it. Place it on medium heat.
Grease the idli plate cavities with oil.
Check the batter after 20 minutes. If it has thicken a tablespoon of water and bring to idli batter consistency.
Add oil and salt and mix well.
When steamer is ready, add eno to batter and mix roughly. Do not mix vigorously.
Put a big spoon of batter in each cavity.
Place the idli plates inside the steamer pot. Close lid and wait for 10 minutes.
Remove the plates and let idls cool for few minutes then unmould them with a spoon.
Serve with your preferred chutney.
